Sony makes available PSP firmware v. 2.71 upgrade

Foster City (CA) - Without much fanfare yesterday, Sony made available on its worldwide PlayStation Portable Web site the version 2.71 upgrade to its system firmware. Now included is the capability to save downloaded game demos directly to memory stick, and run the demos from there. The company also made corrections to its LocationFree wireless TV receiver service, especially in order to facilitate the rollout of that service yesterday in the UK.
