Following the recent rumours that Sony's Playstation 3 would utilise a form of licence in a bid to prevent the sale of pre-owned titles, this article examines the legal implications of such a licensing scheme in the marketplace, as well as looking at some of the other issues arising out of games publishers' attempts to stem the sale of pre-owned games. We will also look at some of the options available to publishers in addressing this increasingly lucrative market.

That is so stupid...
So lets say you buy a game and after 20 minutes you decide you hate it. You are then stuck with it and can't sell it to anyone now? What a load of crap! Or lets say you have 3 playstation consoles, you can only play the game on one of them? Man, Sony is really shooting themselves in the foot lately.. Glad this probably won't happen.

You guys are lucky in the US and UK... Here in CH, you can't rent games or sell em back (unless for free)

Yeah I do not get that law at all... Just plain dumb. If you buy a game, you should be able to sell it.
