Sacramento Preps To Re-bid Wi-Fi Project

The city of Sacramento is planning to quickly re-bid the contract for its citywide [color=#0000ff]Wi-Fi[/color] deployment after it was suddenly left without an installer when original contractor MobilePro dropped out of the project late last week.

The city's chief technology officer Stephen Ferguson said the new RFP should be ready in a few weeks and it would address some additional items including possibly mobile WiMAX, which has been rapidly maturing in recent months.
