DIRECTV TITANIUM—all the TV you'll never have time to watch

Source: Ars Technica
__________
Like all programming services, DIRECTV has its share of fans and detractors. I would count myself among its fans, although I'm disappointed that the satellite TV provider has dropped the TiVo in favor of its own, home-grown DVR. I like the programming packages and choices DIRECTV offers that I can't find anywhere else (e.g., Setanta Sports) and have occasionally been tempted to just bite the bullet and order Total Choice Premier.

It appears that DIRECTV is about to add a whole other level of temptation, but at a very steep price. A new DIRECTV TITANIUM service is launching towards the end of June which will unlock every door in the DIRECTV programming edifice. TITANIUM includes every SD and HD channel, all pay-per-view offerings, all sports, up to 10 HD DVRs, all the adult channels, and a 24/7 "concierge service." All this programming goodness will cost US$7,500 per year, payable in advance.

System Specs

Even if I could afford it, I wouldn't get it. Like they said, who would have the time to watch enough of the channels to get your money's worth. I would think 2 DVRs would be enough. But 10??? That's crazy.
