These aren't some canned benchmarks, and we weren't limited to what we could test with an Intel configuration - we had the processor and got to run it on our hardware; an nForce 590 SLI Intel Edition reference board at that! We look at all aspects of Conroe performance from media encoding to real-world high resolution gaming with 7900 GTXs in SLI mode.

I am so getting a conroe

Even though it's going to be a E6600, better buy i believe.

Now the really big question is going to be what motherboard and chipset, nforce 5 or a intel chipset. Rumors say that the intel chipset are far better clockers

Ram are easy, since it looks like Conroe doesn't matter about timings

I dunno I've heard the Nforce 5 is very powerhungry! I want the E6600 too though... God does conroe look sweet!

Intel are saying the Core2duo cpu`s where internaly optimized for the next microsoft OS vista.

me personaly im getting the E6600 aswell 4meg L2 version

or is that 2x4 meg makeing 8meg L2 per core combined lol

Neon, the thing is I cam currently on a NORTHWOOD 3ghz CPU... That's old and weak now
