Look Out - It's an Invisible PC!

__________
For decades, the standard configuration of the PC has been a team effort: keyboard, display, maybe some speakers and a webcam, and -- containing the hardware that makes it all possible -- the minitower.

PCs featuring an all-in-one design were once seen as a far-out concept, and their advocates remained squarely on the fringes of the consumer and corporate demographics targeted by most technology manufacturers.

Now, however, the all-in-ones are finally starting to get some respect. More and more manufacturers are moving the powerful guts of their machines out of the minitower and "hiding" them inside monitors or keyboards. Apple Computer is the most visible player in this market, but Gateway and a slew of smaller PC vendors are also trying to spark some much-needed momentum for the tower-free machines.
