This press release officially announces Need for Speed: Carbon, the next installment in the long-running racing series slated for release in November on (deep breath) PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, GBS, PSP, and mobiles. The Need for Speed: Carbon Homepage is live, offering screenshots and a gameplay movie. Here's a bit:

Chertsey, UK. – June 22, 2006 – Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today that Need for Speed™ Carbon is in development and will hit the streets this November. Developed by EA Black Box in Vancouver, British Columbia, Need for Speed Carbon delivers the next generation of adrenaline-filled street racing and will challenge players to face the ultimate test of driving skill on treacherous canyon roads.

"We pride ourselves on our ability to reinvent the franchise and continually uncover new and exciting trends in car culture. Canyon Racing is a real test of a driver's skill and we think it provides a fantastic game play opportunity to lean into," said Larry LaPierre, the game's executive producer.

I love MW, too. I'm currently playing it through the third time (only because the first two times I lost saves due to a format).

I'll wait until we get some more solid info to pass judgement on this.

ya, im hopeing its in the day again, or atleast most of it. hell, even an actual night/day cycle wouldnt be bad at all. just not completly at night again.

As long as I got my supercars again (porsche, lambo, ferrari, aston, bmw, mercs, etc) I'm damn happy!

i was prety happy with the line up in most wanted. they had a nice mix of imports and exoitcs. could have used more muscle instead of just the 67 camaro that you couldnt even use in the actual game.
