NTT DoCoMo and High Tech Computer Corp. (HTC) announced that they have developed a handset, named "hTc Z," which is based on a Japanese edition of the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. NTT DoCoMo will start marketing the model in late July, according to HTC.
The hTc Z will support mobile business solutions that utilize Windows Server and Exchange Server, according to companies. In addition to this, it will support Bluetooth and add-in applications. NTT DoCoMo will offer the handset to corporate customers as a part of its business solutions.
The hTc Z will be demonstrated at NTT DoCoMo's booth at Wireless Japan 2006 in Tokyo from July 19 to 21.
