The new SitRep on the America's Army Community Rally Point announces plans for America's Army: Overmatch, a new version 2.7.0 of America's Army Special Forces, which, in spite of the mundane version number, is described as the "biggest release ever" for the freeware military shooter (thanks Frans). Planned for release later this summer, the update, currently in beta testing, will add a new mode that allows cooperative multiplayer play versus AI opponents and asymmetric combat with mismatched numbers of opposing forces. The update goes into detail in describing how the new AI will operate, and how their spawn points will not be magical.
