FLETCHER, OHIO – July 25th, 2006 – Ultra Products, a global leader in technology solutions, has launched two new breakthrough power supply units – the X-Finity 2G-600W PSU w/ After Spin Technology and X-Finity 500 Watt PSU w/Active PFC. These new power supply units add to Ultra’s growing line of PSU’s for users of all levels.
Specially designed for demanding, high-end gaming systems, the X-Finity 2G-600 Watt PSU supplies up to 37A to the 12V rail, includes Ultra’s award-winning FlexForce cabling for improved airflow and aesthetics, and features “After Spin Technology.” With “After Spin Technology,” the PSU, chassis, and CPU fan connectors remain spinning several minutes after the PC is powered down allowing the system to gradually cool down after use. This helps quiet the system and aids in prolonging the life of the system’s components.
The sizzling new X-Finity 500W PSU delivers the perfect combination of stability and continuous power while also utilizing Ultra’s award-winning FlexForce cabling system for improved airflow and aesthetics. The new X-Finity 500W also includes Active PFC (power factor correction) which reduces the amount of apparent power used by the power supply and reduces the harmonics caused by the power supply’s inherent non-linear load. The X-Finity 500W w/ Active PFC has a power factor of .99 or better.
