Infineon, Qimonda in license deal with Tessera

German microchip maker Infineon Technologies and its memory chip unit Qimonda said on Tuesday they have reached license agreements with Tessera Technologies and settled all litigation between them.

Under the deal, Infineon will pay $10 million and Qimonda will pay $40 million in the fourth quarter of 2006 for the right to use a slew of Tessera patents covering the packaging of integrated circuits, the companies said.
