Whilst a number of American pretenders to E3’s throne have tried to capitalise on this week’s earlier news about the downsizing of the LA-behemoth-show, the Tokyo Game Show 2006 goes quietly about its business, in a typically underspoken Japanese manner.

Show organisers are predicting that next month’s show (September 22-24, Makuhari Messe exhibition center, Tokyo) could well be the biggest to date, with 143 exhibitors already booked and many more expected to do so over the coming weeks.
