Insider Throws Cold Water on Apple iPhone Rumors

In the past few months, there has been quite a bit of evidence that Apple is going to put out a combination phone and iPod, often referred to as the iPhone.

With Apple's World Wide Developer Conference kicking off this week, speculation that this device will be announced any day now has reached a fever pitch.

Those eagerly hoping to get their hands on an iPhone will not be pleased to read a report from DVD Newsroom that indicates that Apple has no intentions of announcing a smartphone this week, or any time soon.

This comes from an unnamed source, but the site running the information claims it has confirmed that she is, in fact, an Apple employee.

When asked if the iPhone would be unveiled at the WWDC, this person response was unequivocal: "No."
