Spring 2003 IDF - Day 3 - Final Report News And Notes @ THG

Well, the Spring 2003 IDF is now almost over and much information has been presented. In our reports from the first two days of IDF we have seen a lot of interesting things that have come to pass this week.

What is your view of the connected world? Does your company plan to enable your employees with wireless technology? Are you ready to revolutionize your home with the addition of home media devices? Are you ready for the convergence of a connected world? Intel hopes that it can be the driving force when it comes to finding answers to these questions. At IDF, the important thing is that you get a glimpse of the future.

An important question that needs to be addressed is: how interested is the buying public in these new technologies, regardless of whether in the home/consumer or IT sector? If the enthusiasm of the attendees of IDF is any indication, it still might take a little convincing before folks are ready to move toward these new technologies. The good news however is that work continues to progress.

In our coverage of Day 3, we talk with Analog Devices about db Cool, Promise Technologies about the advancements in Serial ATA, and Rambus about developments on the R658 platform, plus some additional goodies from the Spring 2003 IDF.
