There is not a single new entry in Chart Track's UK game sales top forty this week, as the top three remains unchanged for the fourth week in a row - featuring THQ's Cars, Rockstar's GTA: Liberty City Stories, and Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros, in that order.

Although the so-called summer games drought is a traditional feature of the British games industry, this year’s has been particularly severe. Coupled with the usual paucity of releases in the months after Christmas, the UK game retail industry has remained in a state of near-stasis for a significant time now.
