FIC Unveils the 9800 & 9800PRO Specs

Seems like FIC jumped the gun on announcing the new ATI graphics chip specs. This is what it reads:

FIC is now producing a huge range of advanced video cards based on ATI technology. New additions to the range include the A98 and A98P based on the ATI Radeon 9800 and 9800 Pro graphics engines respectively. The A98 and A98P both feature 400MHz RAMDAC, 8 pipeline architecture, 256 bit data width, 512Kb of serial flash ROM, AGP 8X/4X/2X compatibility, TV-out, support for simultaneous dual displays and DirectX 9.0/OpenGL support. In addition, the A98 will support 128MB of DDR memory and a core/memory clock speed of 325/310MHz. The A98P will support up to 256MB of DDR memory and has a core/memory clock speed of 400/460MHz.

These products will be unveiled at CeBIT2003.

I think that might be a typo on the mem of the 9800Pro, but I hope it isn't. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those bad boys either way

***Update

460 on the memory bus is a typo...Evidently, it should read 360.

This makes much more sense mainly because 460 is more like a DDRII spec...not DDRI.

It looks like my 9700 pro still have some shelf life after all.

I dont think it is a typo there cts519. According to Hellbinder on Rage3D apparently the specs are valid. His info is usually pretty accurate. I hope he's right....

I'm definately gonna pick up one of these babies on the first day of release.

well

Hellbinder is also extreme ATI fan and is also often wrong, 460 seems a bit much, but lets not hope so. 460 will require 2.1 - 2.2 ns ram :o
