Microsoft: Fast start for Vista in businesses

Microsoft is predicting that Windows Vista will be adopted by companies at twice the speed as its predecessor, Windows XP.

Twelve months after the release of Vista, Microsoft expects that usage share of the oft-delayed operating system in businesses will be double that of XP a year after it shipped, said Brad Goldberg, general manager for Windows product management at the software maker.

After the way schools and businesses handled the launch of Sevice Pack 2? I know plenty of places that simply wouldn't install it since they thought it'd just be hacked. The same places will be waiting even longer for Vista since it's 100% new.

Vista have some really high requirments and if look at it from a buisness view, it really doesn't offer anything that new and fantastic.

I'm system administrator for 4 schools and part of a org. who controls over 40 schools and we dont see Vista no where near our computers within the next 4 years.
