Chuck Patch Tool v0.6.9b
Source: NGOHQ
__________ This small utility will allow you to disable/enable ATI’s Chuck Patch on-the-fly. This utility will make your life easier because you will not have to download the entire Chuck Patch driver, nor will you have to uninstall/reinstall your driver to obtain Chuck Patch’s features. With this utility the difference between the Chuck Patch and normal Catalyst is just a simple restart as opposed to a full download, install and reboot. Changes: • Fixed a “Windows File Protection” installation issue that caused some corruption/instability issues. Download Here. __________ Thanks to Dyre for the submit (eventually) |

I don't get it, why can't ATI just make the features of the Chuck patch a normal part of their drivers? Does it screw up other games?

I agree, I mean this was supposed to be the "whiz bang" feature of the X1000 series. Here we are a year later and its still beta patch/gum and string thing to even use it.

ATI must have problems implementing it; they wouldn't have done this otherwise.

There is another updated version released that takes care of the Windows File Protection problem.
What was happening was WFP was preventing the correct file from being installed into the Windows/system32 directory. The newer version takes care of this problem. |
