After HP's recent acquisition of Voodoo PC, it seems fair to compare and contrast a very high-end, luxury gaming PC with a high-end, stock gaming PC from a mainstream PC manufacturer.

The Gateway FX510XT has been previously reviewed by PC Magazine. That review included a fairly wide range of tests. Due to the scope of the review, PC Magazine only included two actual games, Doom 3 and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, plus 3DMark06. They also only tested at one wide screen resolution, 2560x1600. The review gave the Gateway system and Editor's Choice.
