Three In Four U.S. Adults Have Mobile Phones

Nearly three quarters of U.S. adults subscribe to a mobile phone services, more than those who say they subscribe to a landline service, a market research firm said Friday.

About a quarter of mobile phone users consider the device their primary means of communication, and about four in 10 say their cellular phones give them a sense of personal security, Harris Interactive said.

I'm one of the people that doesn't have, want or need a cellphone....I rarely answer my land-line phone(answering machine). I definately don't want to be bothered by phone calls when I'm out and about or in my car.

I'm one of those people that cheer when I see a video of someone smashing a cellphone on the ground when a cellphone yakker annoys them.

When land-line phones become completely obsolete and cellphones are the ONLY way to have a phone, then I'll get one....and I'll leave it where my land-line phone is currently. IN THE HOUSE.

Yeah, I hate cellphones. Can you tell?

What I WOULD like to have is a cellphone jammer....

also in the minority here. i wouldnt mind haveing a cheap cell phone in the car with me for emergencys, but thats it.

They're pretty useful for people who are active and don't spent all day either in an office or at home, it's why I have one. Especially useful if you're waiting for a call or in an emergency. But they are over-used by the majority.
