Source: OCInside
____________ As already mentioned in the previous review, the ASRock 939SLI32-eSATA2 motherboard offers beside the AMD 939 pin CPU socket also a so-called ASRock Future CPU Port. Who already own this Motherboard and would like to buy now one of the inexpensive AMD AM2 CPUs, is able upgrade the board for Socket AM2 within a few minutes! This Review contains the final result, the overclocking result and a direct comparison of the AMD Athlon 64 Socket 939 CPU compared to the AMD Socket AM2 CPU on the identical motherboard.

Then again, since the the old memory can't be re-used, nor the old 939 CPU, selling or passing on the 939 board and getting a new AM2 would be more efficient.
They did a similar thing with the S754 / S939 system, with a daughterboard option, but at least the memory was transferable in that case.

Yeah I got a 939dual-sata2, but it was mainly because I still had a good AGP card at the time of purchase and I didnt want to have to go out and buy a new card also( the mobo has AGP and PCI-E slots)
