The Universal Music Group is suing Grouper Networks Inc. and Bolt Inc., two online video companies, for allowing users to post copyrighted music videos without proper consent. Neither company currently has licensing agreements made with any major movie production company. Josh Felser, Grouper Chief Executive Officer, believes the company will win the lawsuit due to the company being “vigilant about taking down copyrighted content” after being notified of potential copyright infringement.
