Read More/Source: Hardwarezone
_______________ With an onslaught of new processors and platforms monthly ever since late May, it looks like there's no slowing down of this segment anytime soon. Before we get swept by the next wave, we roundup results from dual-core processors of the AMD Athlon 64 X2 series, Intel Pentium D 900 series and of course the Core 2 Duo. |

i believe E6300@3GHz should not be a problem as long as your motherboard, RAM, PSU and all of the system cooling can go along with it.
however, if you can choose the processor from many of the available retail boxed processors in the area, then try getting the newest FPO/BATCH # (for example # xx30 means week 30). people believes that the newer week on the processor indicates the improvement of the overclocking ability or something as they were talking about. |

I'm properly gonna buy it from a webshop, but reports are that the current models in shops here in Denmark, are pretty good clockers.

in that case you won't be able to look at the processor's boxes. anyway, i think it's also about the CPU temps... i have not yet gone into anything in details about it, i just saw people were looking at the processor's boxes and heard a few were talked about the week thing when they bought them.
