Asustek Computer and Gigabyte Technology have indicated that their motherboard shipments will stay flat or decline in November, with market observers saying that weak demand for motherboards will persist through the fourth quarter as consumers wait for Microsoft's Vista operating system (OS), which will not be available in the retail market until January 2007, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).
