Mobile operator bringing Slingbox to your phone

Sling Media announced Thursday its first deal with a mobile phone carrier to offer subscribers access to home television on their mobile handsets using the Slingbox device.

The British wireless carrier 3 Group will pre-install Sling's technology on its "X-series" devices, which includes the Nokia N73 and the Sony Ericsson W950i.

And in Denmark from next year. It's quite interesting, but I would say it need proper HSDPA coverage before it's really useful. UMTS is to slow.

Is this like what is already available in the UK where you can not actualy watch proper tv but clips (in some cases shows too) only? And that you have to pay for them extra too?
If it is, I advice against it.

It's not what is allready avalible in the UK. It will be avalible in the UK from the 1. dec. And it's the opposite of what you describe, because this gives unlimted usage of the old and new services.
