Justice Dept. subpoenas AMD, Nvidia

Thanks to mike2h for the submission. _______________ The U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division has issued subpoenas to Advanced Micro Devices and Nvidia as part of an investigation into potential antitrust violations. AMD announced that it had received its subpoena on Thursday afternoon, and Nvidia made its corresponding announcement on Friday morning. No specific allegations have been made against either company. |

you would think if anyone is to be accused of antitrust violations it would be AMD and there purchase of ATI. Not Nvidia????

As I expected. And it seems pretty true. I remember when a video card upgrade would only run you $300 for top of the line. They've slowly inched the prices up $50-$100 each new generation and now we're at $600 for a 8800?! That's some heafty gross profit IMHO.
