SAN FRANCISCO — Hewlett-Packard's snooping scandal has besmirched the company's reputation — but many other things are going great for the computer giant, tech analysts say.

HP shares have risen 9% since early September when the company revealed a nasty boardroom battle and a plan to snoop on employees and journalists.
