Still reading through it, interesting...

I'll give my own evaluation of the Logitech cordless OEM set that came with my Medion:

Keyboard: Keytop markings wore away while still using the original set of batteries. On the positive side, the battery life is good.

Mouse: A 3 button/wheel when my previous two had been 5 button. Response not too bad, but a tendency to jitter on some surfaces. Biggest minus points - Battery issues: life, weak contact spring and no warning (though I use NiMH in it, so a usable low warning might be given on Alkalines, though it would be wasteful at the rate it eats them).
