Please god let this set of Vista drivers have the ability to play games. Ive spent the last 5 days solid playing with Vista after a short break and it becomes more frustrating each time I use it. My next task is to get a DVD running on it as at the moment all I get is a lot of warning screens which look suspiciously like HDCP type warnings.

Hehe, just what I predicted when CCC came out: few fixes for apps/games, many fixes for CCC... Way to go ATI.

In one word: No
Words fail me, release date grows ever nearer and the quality of the drivers declines. Don't get me wrong, as far as the desktop etc goes they work at an acceptable standard but if you so much as glance at your games shelf the ground opens up and beelzebub himself manifests with a festering trout of doom to bitch slap you into oblivion. Ive yet to find a game that runs satisfactory, most will give you 'this software has known issues contact blah blah for solutions' while the ones that will run are unplayable. It's odd but most games will play the opening sequence but this is just to lull you into a false sense of hope for once the game menu or game itself starts the graphics are more corrupt than the British honours system. |
