Comcast offers on-demand movies same day as DVD release

Comcast is taking an experimental journey toward the final frontier with the launch of video on demand (VOD) titles that appear the same day as their DVD counterparts. According to the New York Times, Comcast will offer the movies in Pittsburgh and Denver, with plans to expand if all goes well (and the studios give permission).
