A Network for Virtual Reality: Neuronet

__________ Virtual Reality to get its own network for business and gaming applications The International Association of Virtual Reality Technologies announced on Thursday that it is planning to launch Neuronet, a public network that can fulfill requirements for data transmission of up and coming cinematic and virtual-reality technologies. The non-profit organization plans its launch in 2007, while Neuronet applications are not expected to launch until 2009. The IAVRT has stated, "Neuronet's communication bandwidth and real-time virtual-reality gaming data transfer protocols will enable... virtual-reality trailblazers to reach their full potential. The Internet wasn not designed to support the data transmission requirements of real-time virtual-reality data, so Neuronet is being created as a seperate and distinct network."
