New HP Tablet PC uncovered in Vista product brochure and Gateway offers an $899 Tablet

It appears that Microsoft has jumped the gun a bit in revealing Hewlett-Packard's upcoming HP Pavilion tx1000 Tablet PC. Microsoft distributed roughly 5,000 Vista Launch Kits which featured a number of items including a 2GB SanDisk Cruzer Mini and a booklet entitled: "Windows Vista Partner Stories."

The booklet is the key in revealing detail's for HP's new Vista tablet which packs some nice media-centric features. The 12.1" tablet comes with the requisite fingerprint reader along with a 5-in-1 media reader, DVD burner with LightScribe, dual headphones jacks, Altec Lansing speakers, mini remote control, dual omni-direction remotes, optional HP Pavilion webcam and optional integrated WWAN.
