You're not likely to hear that cellphone message at Glendale's New Year's Eve bash tonight or during the Fiesta Bowl on Monday when more than 70,000 gridiron fans are expected to swarm University of Phoenix Stadium.

Newpath Networks has teamed up with Glendale, the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority, the Arizona Cardinals and Salt River Project to create a wireless network that accommodates greater cellphone demand during mega-events without the need to build unsightly and intrusive towers.
