Bluegears b-Enspirer sound card review @ Elite Bastards

Source: Elite Bastards
__________
Although the complaints regarding Creative Labs as a monopoly in the sound card market are oft heard by enthusiasts, to think of the giant as a sole purveyor of discrete sound cards would do a great disservice to the handful of companies that have sprung up in the past couple of years offering their own intriguing offerings in this market - Indeed, we've taken a look at a couple of these parts in the past, courtesy of Auzentech's X-Mystique and X-Plosion. Although these parts don't boast the gamer-centric focus of Creative Labs' offerings, leaving them bereft of the latest EAX support and features such as X-RAM and Fatal1ty's grinning mug on their boxes, these rival offerings have tended to have tricks of their own up their sleeves.
