Internet Explorer Unsafe for 284 Days in 2006

Source: Washington Post
________
Security Fix spent the past several weeks compiling statistics on how long it took some of the major software vendors to issue patches for security flaws in their products. Since Windows is the most-used operating system in the world, it makes sense to lead off with data on Microsoft's security updates in 2006.

I'm STILL running IE6 and I've not ran into any problems. Over exaggeration in my opinion.

(who can honestly say they don't?)

Not the one's you visit! I staw away from the ActiveX-autodownload-popup featured-viral infected sites. I've been there before...and there was nothing worth viewing anyway.

It doesn't surprise me it was unsafe for 284 days last year, MS really couldn't care less and have shown they'd rather keep exploits and security risks secret from their customers than have them fixed asap.

well, I use FF so I don't have that kind of ActiveX or other "crap" problems. and I don't go to the malware sites... but I know from experience that there are people that do go there with IE and get malware to their computers...
