802.11n in all but name: draft hardware in the clear

Source: ars techncia
___________
Late last week, we reported that the IEEE's 802.11 working group signed off on Draft 2.0 and sent it out to the rest of the IEEE membership for approval. More details have emerged from the working group's meetings in London and it's good news for those looking forward to faster wireless networking.

Perhaps most important is the revised timeline. Draft 2.0 will go out to the IEEE membership at the end of this month for approval. Voting should be wrapped up by the end of March. If it is approved as expected, work on Draft 3.0 will move into high gear. By the beginning of June, Draft 3.0 will also be sent out to the membership for approval. Should 75 percent of the membership sign off on it, it will become the basis for the final 802.11n spec.
