Source: Tom's Hardware
________ This article deals with basic application execution under Windows Vista Enterprise, which is representative of the other editions. And indeed, we found that there are some... |

Kind of a lame article, considering drivers and apps have not been optimized for any of the changes. Way too early to do a thing like this, I think.
That said, gamers and everybody else should just stick with XP and pay $19.99 for WindowBlinds and download some free widgets from Yahoo or whomever, and call it a day. Especially if you are a gamer. why the hell would they use the enterprise eddtion.
why wouldn't they use home premium, or business eddition. imo, the opengl in ati's 7.1 is actually doing well, there are some performance issues yes, but it's not bad for a initial first official release of catalyst set.

Well opengl is going to perform oddly to start with, considering yes, ms kinda tried to put it down, but failed at it, so now opengl is kinda groggy and having a hard time off the start.
But overall, OPENGL is WORKING for the most part in vista, performance can only get better as the drivers mature. D3D on the other hand is quite excellent thus far.
