Well actually I was trying to explain why we use the system everyones point is valid, just pointing out some things you might have missed.

Anyway, I think we have discussed the image handling system quite a bit in a dell monitor review thread.

I would seriously like to hear from people on DH who have these monitors already to gather some more experiences specifically on banding and ghosting.

I've been researching monitors all day and im desperate for one of these, trouble is my cars up for sale and i've had no offers yet can't justify it until it's sold.

few questions I have are:

If I play the 360 on this does it support 1080p?
Will the increased resolution stretch my GTS? Im used to 1280x1024
Does this monitor downscale resolutions effectively?
Whats the most effective way of showing TV in a box using the PIP?
Within this price range does anything better it?

Cheers Lel

PS: someone buy my car

I'm not sure about the 360, but the PS3 works flawlessly at 1080p

Your GTS should do fine, as I've played games at 1920x1200 on a x1950Pro and they were playable.

It does it without problems.

Not sure what you mean here.

From what I know, you won't get a monitor with these specs that would cost less and other monitors in this price range are usually smaller (as in lower resolution)

Thankyou for the quick reply.

Re-reading the TV question I see what you mean, I guess my brain was outta gear. I just asked myself and apparently what I was trying to ask was: Is there any other way apart from a PC card of getting TV to display in the PIP box, I know it doesnt have a built in tuner but can't see how you'd be able to have a game in the mainscreen and TV in the box with one DVI input. What else could you use the PIP for?

Damn I just re-read that and it's even more confusing, I need a lie down LOL

While you can't connect a TV cable to the monitor you can connect pretty much anything else, as long as it uses component, composite, vga or dvi (I think I'm forgetting one)

So the Dell 2407 uses a different panel maker than the one that makes the 2007, and therefore has none of the banding issues that plague the 2007?
