The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a joint project of the UN and the World Meteorological Organization, is tasked with releasing periodic reports on the state of our understanding of climate change and how to cope with it. It has been preparing its fourth report, to be released in 2007. As part of that process, 300 delegates have been meeting in Paris to finalize the executive summary, which was released at a press conference earlier today.
