In many cases, people keep their digital photos on home PCs. A few souls store them on their laptops, a concept that causes us to shudder. In the vast majority of cases, those PCs have single hard drives, and the owners of those digital photo libraries don't back them up. We recently talked with one family that now has a three-year hole in their photography collection because of a hard drive crash. Needless to say, they now assiduously back up their photo collection.
