Asustek will separate its business slowly, says paper

After the announcement of Asustek's plans to separate its own-brand and OEM/ODM manufacturing businesses, the Chinese-language Apple Daily has reported that Asustek will make the separation slowly with the goal that its subsidiary's business volumes will reach NT$100 billion (US$3 billion ), or 3-4 million notebooks shipping volumes, when the separation is complete. Asustek will not make a large announcement after the separation, noted the paper.
