"Get a Mac" ads doing more harm than good in UK

Media Week is reporting that, instead of improving their image, Apple's "Get a Mac" ads are actually hurting the public perception of the company, at least in the UK. Since the UK specific commericals premiered in late January, YouGov’s BrandIndex indicates that Apple's "buzz" factor has dropped 6 points from +14 to +8 on the far side of the Atlantic.

I hate those ads. Reminds me of a lyric from the song Kill All Hippies by Primal Scream.
Find this "we are better, you are stupid" attitude, insulting, stupid and bad for business.
I just want to slap the Mac character.

I was thinking about buying a mac, till the comercials came out.

I was planning on getting a Mac to dual boot it with Windows. Then I started looking at the price/preformance and realized getting a dedicated Windows notebook was a better value.

Well that's true Zeph but I will admit that Macbooks are very well designed... Thin and slot load DVD players are nifty. I would almost be ready to pay a premium for that!

haha in class last week, a guy behind me pulled out a macbook, the guy sitting next to me turned around, and being a mac fanboy congratulated him on such a good choice, and started to bag windows. he was then silenced when thewindows sign in sound was played from the mac book
