Press Release: Foxconn
__________
Foxconn and SteelSeries, a leading manufacturer of innovative professional gaming gear, today announced their CEBIT program “Challenge the Pro’s” which offers CEBIT visitors a chance to go head to head against some of the most accomplished professional gamers in the world. Prizes up for grabs include Foxconn’s latest graphics cards, Intel Core™ 2 Duo processors as well as professional gaming headsets and more from SteelSeries.

Located in Hall 21 Stand B28, Foxconn’s booth will probably be the only place at CEBIT where visitors can face off against such a variety of top e-sports competitors. The action will take place from March 15th – March 21st.

Among the gamers who will be accepting challenges from the crowds are Fisker, SpawN, Styla and Hero from SK-Gaming. Resident Pro-Gamer will be Johnny R, one of the most famed Counter-Strike players in the world. Combined these gamers have won an incredible amount of world championships and major international titles, ranging from Counter-Strike to FIFA. “Challenge the Pro’s” will run on Foxconn’s booth (Hall 21, Stand B28) every day with different professional gamers dropping by to challenge the crowds daily.

The on-booth event will use gaming PCs powered by IntelŽ Core™2 Duo processors and based on the Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H motherboard, which is powered by the IntelŽ P965 chipset for the ultimate balance in performance, value and energy efficiency. Peripherals include the SteelKeys 6G keyboard, SteelSound 5H v2 headset and award-winning gaming surfaces from SteelSeries. Graphics power will come from Foxconn NVIDIAŽ 8800 series VGA cards, pre-overlocked for additional performance. A setup truly built for hardcore high-performance gaming.

“It is certainly true to say that e-sports have developed a long way in the past 5 years, and so has the hardware which is making the gaming experience more potent than ever before” commented Brian Chang, Motherboard Product Marketing Manager at Foxconn. “When asked to select a motherboard for the gaming systems, we had no hesitation in selecting the P9657AB thanks to its great balance of features, performance, and support for IntelŽ Core™2 Duo processors - which offer unrivalled performance per watt.”

“We are delighted to be working with Foxconn who have demonstrated a strong interest in professional gaming, and a keen awareness of the technological demands of the world’s top e-sports athletes”, commented Kim Rom, Head of PR & Communications for SteelSeries.
