Peakstream founder and CTO Matthew Papakipos described his company's technology and plans in a presentation at the annual International Symposium on Code Generation and Optimization late last week. The company, backed by over $17 million in funding, has made its initial play for the high-performance computing (HPC) market, but it hopes to extend its "write and compile once, run on any multicore system" approach beyond HPC and into gaming, image processing, and other consumer domains.
