Sirius Satellite Radio said Wednesday that after its proposed acquisition of XM Satellite Radio, the services expected to offer a lower-priced package consisting of fewer channels.

Sirius said that it and XM would provide programming choices on a "more a la carte basis," including tiers of service both higher and lower than the $12.95 per month they each currently charge
