How to Slipstream Service Pack 2 into Windows XP CD

Adek at Techcoonect has put together an How to Slipstream Service Pack 2 into Windows XP CD guide!

First of all you need a Windows XP cd. The first thing you need is a boot sector image. You can download it rightaway from our server. The size is about 2 kilobytes. Download: Boot sector

I use drive x as an example you can choose whatever drive you like.

After you have finished downloading this boot sector, you need to copy the whole Windows XP CD to your harddrive, for example in the folder XP ( x:/XP/all files from cd ). After youve done this youll need the Service Pack 2 Installation file ( about 145mb ). Put this file in the root directory of drive x. Now your ready to slipstream Service Pack 2 into the Windows XP cd.

SP2 is still in beta, right? If so, why would somebody want to go through all of the work of slipstreaming a beta service pack?

You crazy tweakers!
