What Microsoft Must Do to make Zune a Success

Five months after its introduction, industry experts give Microsoft Corp.'s Zune media player barely passing grades in terms of its marketplace success while Microsoft insists the device is on course.

"I'd give them a B-minus," said Ross Rubin, director of industry analysis for market research firm NPD Group. Other analysts gave Microsoft roughly the same marks.

If M$ offered like $.50 songs or sometin cheaper than itunes i bet they would steal so much of the marketshare and the zune may become a bit popular. although people are on this ipod craze, if you don't have one your not cool. Its going to take time.

They used to say the same thing when everyone was bashing them for the xbox. They found a niche in the games industry when everyone said there wasn't enough room, I don't doubt they can do it in the dap industry.
