A woman and her mother today sued Best Buy Stores after a technician from a computer company allegedly recommended by an employee of the electronics firm videotaped the woman taking a shower.

Unless they find proof that the Best Buy Corp told the guy to actually do it, I don't see why they'd be sued.. they're only defending their worker, no?

Lol, the suit will be dismissed, the women will be out of whatever financial fees they have to pay. They'll have to file another suit against the one who filmed.

You sure? Can't you not be charged twice for the same crime? If it's thrown out once, isn't he off the hook?

Or does it actually have to go to trial before you can't be charged again?

Right now, she's filed suit against best buy for the guy's actions. She needs to be filing the suit against him and him alone.

Best Buy isn't guilty of fraud, as I'm guessing there was no monetary transaction. They also offered the service they said they would. Negligent misrepresentation is bogus. It would mean that Best Buy knew the guy was going to do it and reccommended the service anyways. Negligent hiring wont stand up because of their hiring process. A background check, drug test, and profieciency test is given to ensure a person seeking a position is deserving of it. Best Buy did not invade the woman's privacy, the man not doing his job did. Best Buy, nor the guy who filmed had the intention of inflicting emotional distress. Any damages done would not be general (goods and services), compensatory (whatever the woman lost), or punitive (malicious intent).

This woman needs to drop the suit against Best Buy and file a sexual harassment suit against the guy who did the filming if she's going to get anywhere. Whoever this woman's lawyer is needs to have his right to practice law revoked.

She's probably suing Best Buy with the idea that due to the bad press it will bring for the company they will settle out of court with a substantial financial sum, of which the guy who actually did the act probably does not have.

So the guy put his cell phone in there...didn't even really try to hide it just a cell phone...and she says he was trying to sneak pictuers? Come on....the way the story first read it was as if he installed one of those tiny cameras you see in pop up ads all over the place.

He probably went to take a piss and left his cell phone in there and she had the idea to turn it on and record a vid.

What gives them away as scammers is they took the card out of the phone and took it to a phone store without even confronting the dude. A legit person would have been furious and called the cops on the spot and had them take the phone as evidence.

Plus, look at this chicks, scammer is written all over their faces. I hope Best Buy fights it and buries these bitches.

Seriously whenever someone comes to fix or install something at my place I am right there watching them do whatever they are doing as there is no way in HELL I will leave the general area they are in. Even when the people doing the repairs are my landlord. Who's to say they are trustworthy when left alone in a home?
