Intel details Penryn performance, new SSE4 extensions

Pat Gelsinger's presentation yesterday at IDF briefly covered Penryn's architectural and performance improvements, but it was a bit light on the details. In a presentation today, Intel revealed much more about where those performance numbers came from. They also talked about the new SSE4 extensions to the x86 ISA that account for some of the Penryn's performance advantage.
