The Khronos OpenGL ARB Working Group has received requests for clarification concerning the performance of OpenGL on Windows Vista. These questions are understandable as Microsoft has dramatically changed the user experience with the Windows Aero compositing desktop and introduced a completely new display driver architecture. Dont get much more of a "hype" free, fact-based article than that. Short and sweet, just the facts. I applaud them for this article.
